The government has set the official level of salaries for cabinet members and ministers.
Government Resolution No. 203 (2013) regarding the setting of salaries reads as follows:

Cabinet consultant                                              4500 Euro/ 7500 LYD
Deputy Minister                                                    4200 Euro/ 7000 LYD
Assistant Deputy Minister                                  3600 Euro/ 6500 LYD
