Libya’s Foreign Affairs Minister Ali Al-Aujali gave in his resignation as Prime Minister Ali Zeidan presented it to the General National Congress last Sunday. Reasons for his resignation were deemed to be personal after several queries were raised regarding Aujali’s ties with the former regime.
In the same week, Zeidan also nominated three new ministers – Ali Gadour (Minister for Martyrs and the Missing), Ali Muftah Obaid (Minister of Higher Education) and Yousef Mohamed Sherif (Minister of Information).
The former two Ministers were appointed in an attempt to replace the previous Ministers which were rejected by the Integrity Commission whereas; the Ministry of Information is a new creation by Zeidan.
