A conference was held today at the Corinthia hotel on the role of the private sector in the development of the housing market. The conference was organized by BNP Parisbas Sahara bank and was supported by the Ministry of Housing and Utilities under the banner “The Future Vision for Supporting the Private Sector in Limiting the Housing Problem”.

The Second “International Exhibition for Rebuild Libya” opened in Benghazi yesterday with a significant showing by foreign companies, particularly from Turkey and Italy.The exhibition is being attended by about 25 to 30 Italian companies and 40 Turkish companies, in addition to others from a number of Arab and foreign countries.

ODAC REMOVED FROM LIST OF LIBYAN ENTITIES SUBJECT TO FINANCIAL SANCTIONS

Established in 1989, ODAC coordinates the engineering and construction of major infrastructure projects including administrative centres, residential complexes, community projects and university campuses.
ODAC had its assets frozen on 10 August 2011 as an “entity acting on behalf of, or at the direction of, the Gadhafi Regime and a potential source of funding for the regime”. An EU Council regulation lifting sanctions against ODAC was published in the Official Journal earlier this week.
